[Call for Applications] The Pritzker Forum on Global Cities in Chicago
[Call for Applications] The Pritzker Forum on Global Cities in Chicago GraSPP would like to nominate ONE graduate student to participate in the Global Student Delegation during the Pritzker Forum on Global Cities <http://chicagoforum.org/>, a three-day international conference in Chicago, on June 5-7, 2019. The Forum will convene a diverse set of leaders to discuss the rising influence of global cities and their capacity to solve many of the world’s challenges. If you meets the following profiles and wish to join the Forum, please submit the requested documents below by NOON on Friday, 22nd February to the Graduate School Office by e-mail at <ppin[at]j.u-tokyo.ac.jp>. Documents to be submitted: Statement of Purpose (Free format, around 400 words) * Applicants must describe they meet profiles as specified. CV (Free format) Candidates should have the following profiles: GraSPP full-time master’s OR PhD student Between the ages of 22-35 years old Fluent in English Studying in the area of “international affairs”, “economics”, “public policy” or “urban planning” Demonstrated commitment to the planning, success, and challenges of global cities Submission due date: NOON on Friday, 22nd February * Applications reach the Graduate School Office after the deadline will not be considered. Notes: The Chicago Council will waive the registration fee, cover three nights hotel in Chicago, and cover local costs including ground transportation and conference meals and activities. GraSPP can cover international airfare up to 100,000 JPY. -

UNU-IAS* courses in the spring semester AY2019 *UNU-IAS: United Nations University Institute for the Advanced Study of Sustainability Under the exchange agreement between GraSPP and UNU-IAS, full-time students in either Master’s Program or Ph.D Program at GraSPP are able to register courses without paying tuition. If you wish to take courses, please read through the Application Guideline and submit the following documents by 5pm on Monday, 25 February to the GraSPP Graduate School Office. University entrance exams (Hongo area) Mon, 25 Feb and Tue, 26 Feb, 2019 The following are the temporary measures for the Second University Entrance Exam: Entry into the entrance exam room areas is strictly prohibited; only students, faculty members, and staff who have special permission may enter the areas. Faculty and administrative staff must show an ID card of UTokyo when entering the Hongo Campus. Students who need especially to enter the Hongo Campus for research activities must show an ID card of UTokyo when entering. Those who are not affiliated with the university must show a temporary ID card when entering. Entry to and exit from the university are possible through the Main/Red/Yayoi/Nishikata/Kaitoku/Pharmaceutical/Second Refectory/Nou-Seimon/South gates. In principle, entering the Hongo Campus by car is prohibited. * Due to the English listening tests, driving a car on campus except for in an emergency is prohibited during the following dates and times: Tuesday, 26 February from 14:40 to 15:20 Please refrain from making a noise in the exam room areas.
