CAMPUS Asia Joint Course（A1A2, Wednesdays）offers a Capstone lecture collaborated with Futaba-cho, Fukushima Prefecture. Policymakers from the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communication will be also joining this class. As per the current plan, the main topic will be focused on how to revitalize Fukushima after the Great East Japan Earthquake.
This course plans to include a two-day field trip to Futaba-Cho (Fukushima) on the weekend (The current plan is for 9 and 10 December 2023). The University of Tokyo will cover the transportation costs between UTokyo and Futaba-cho, as well as accommodation expenses. However, all other costs should be borne by the participants. Please note that this trip may be cancelled depending on the situation of COVID-19.
Non-CAMPUS Asia students interested in registering should submit the following:
1) Your student ID number,
2) The course you belong to,
3)TOEFL scores,
4) Statement of Purpose (1 page),
5) Your intention to join the CAMPUS Asia program (join, not join, maybe), and
6) Your intention to join the field trip to Fukushima (join, not join, maybe)
Please send these documents to exchange.j@gs.mail.u-tokyo.ac.jp by September 25 September 28, 2023. The office will select candidates based on the scores if the number of registrants reaches the upper limit of the class.
Those who will enroll in this class should attend the orientation on October 4, 2023. The details of the class and evaluation policy will be announced during the orientation.
