NOTICE: Application for Certificate of Completion for the University-wide Education Program for those completing the course in September

 University-wide Graduate Education Program

Japan-Asia Studies Interdisciplinary Education Program on Ocean Science and Policy Digital Humanities Science, Technology, and Innovation Governance Global Leadership Program for Social Design and Management

Students who will be completing graduate school in September, 2025 (including those who have completed the term of the doctorate program) will be issued with a Certification of Completion for the above listed programs, if they have satisfied all the necessary requirements and have completed the required application processes. 

Application Procedure – Apply through UTAS (Click "Qualification connection" of the "Course" menu, and submit your application from " Application for University-wide Education Program".)

Application Period – Thursday, May 1 to Saturday, May 31, 2025 The above application period is for students who will be graduating from university or completing graduate school by the end of September 2025 (including those who intend to withdraw from the doctorate program after completing the program’s course requirements).

 Important  Even if you applied for a certificate in October 2024 or earlier, a certificate will not be issued unless you complete the application in the above-mentioned period. If you wish to complete the program by September 2025, please make sure you complete all the necessary procedures during this period. Please note that even if you make an application, if you do not satisfy all the requirements to complete the program or you fail to graduate or complete the graduate school, a certificate will not be issued.

〈To students who have taken courses approved by the Barrier-Free Education Program〉 The course previously known as Barrier-Free changed its name to Diversity and Inclusion in AY2023. If you have taken at least one accredited course of Barrier-Free prior to AY2023, you may be deemed to have completed “Diversity and Inclusion” if you subsequently satisfy the necessary requirements for the Diversity and Inclusion program. At this time, you may complete the program under the name of “Barrier-Free” if you so wish. Details will be provided at the time of application.

Please refer to the announcements from the Transportation office of UTokyo, regarding the removal of illegally parked bicycles and motorcycles on campus. English follows Japanese in the announcements.

Scholarship: Go Global Scholarships First Call for the 2025 Short (3 month-1 year) and S-Short (less than 3 months) Study Abroad Scholarships

Note:

Please be sure to prepare application documents well in advance. Applicants need to receive an explanation on procedures for their study abroad from GraSPP Graduate School Office BEFORE submitting their application. To obtain the scholarship, students have to take out overseas travel insurance etc. before their departure, which covers the period of study abroad.
