“LKY-GraSPP Day 2019”, an annual joint students organized event with Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy, National University of Singapore (LKYSPP), was held on March 1, 2019 and closed the session with a great success.
This year marked the 9th time of the event, took a role as a concluding session after a full week of LKYSPP Japan Study Trip in Kyoto and Tokyo. Participants gave presentations on their learning throughout the trip. The session followed by panel discussion by inviting leading professors to discuss on “How could universities foster innovation and entrepreneurship?” Students enjoyed the discussion on the contemporary public policy issues in Japan, mainly focused on the following topics:
“Innovation as a solution for policy issues in Japan”
- Aging Population
- Work Style Reforms
- Immigration Issues
- Transformation of Industrial Structure
Students from both schools engaged in a lively exchange of opinions regarding those topics and shared the fruitful moment together in a very relaxed atmosphere.
